Membership |
| Who
can join?
Membership is open to all, both local and from elsewhere, who share our love and care for the Lizard Peninsula, subject to ratification by the Executive Committee. However, no such ratification shall be unreasonably withheld and applicants to whom membership is refused will be entitled to a written explanation on request; to date, this circumstance has never arisen. Our membership promotional leaflet sets out details and includes an application slip that encourages payment by Standing Order; a convenience for both applicants and us. What does it cost? Annual subscriptions coincide with the financial year, ie April to March, with the proviso that anyone who joins after the beginning of the calendar year shall be deemed to have paid until the first day of the financial year in the following year. The current minimum annual rates for the various membership categories are: •

What are the benefits of membership? For a modest subscription, with reduced rates for couples and families, Members may be confident that they are supporting an organisation that recognises the exceptional qualities of the Lizard Peninsula and is dedicated to their protection and enhancement. Special events, social occasions and the Annual General Meeting are organised to give Members the opportunity to enjoy a convivial get-together, but also to talk to members of the Committee about issues that concern them. The Executive Committee sees such events as valuable opportunities to make sure that our actions are truly representative of our Members' views and wishes.
